An introduction to myself and a little of my background.
I am a Reiki Master, Massage Therapist, Pet Psychologist, Animal Healer, Equine Reiki Practitioner & Spiritual Councellor. I am currently writing a book on how our lives are created by the choices we make which will be available in the Spring.
I started Zakheals in 2007.
Having worked with horses all my life, I think I could ride before I could walk! I became a jockey in the early 1980's when it was still very much a mans world and managed to have a few rides on the flat and over fences before deciding to train for myself. Unfortunatley I suffered a serious neck injury in 1989 which took away my licence to ride thoroughbreds, determined to get back on the race track I took up Arab Horse racing and in 1992 I was back, I finally hung up my boots in 1994.
I became serious about learning more about Natural Healing after my riding accident as conventional medicine was not giving me back the use of my legs (I had fractured my neck which had paralysed me from the neck down). A brilliant man called Keith introduced me to Reiki, Hynoptherapy and Faith!
Due to his belief and dedication I am as fit as I have ever been and so when I trained as a Reiki Master it was my way of giving something back to both animals and people for everything they have taught and given me.
I trained as a massage therapist in Ireland before becoming a Reiki Master and have gradually over the years added more to my repertoire. I am a member of the Natural Healing Institute of Ireland The World Reiki Association and The Spiritual Workers Association. I am a graduate of the Healing Animals Organistion. I have lived in Ireland, South America and the USA where I have been priviledged to help many animals and people and I continue to do so here in the UK.
